This is not your traditional dim sum place but the food is just as good or even better. The restaurant has a great ambiance and is a little more upscale and the prices reflect that. Their food is more focused towards quality so you get larger portions and less quantity.The restaurant also has a full bar where you can sit and have a drink with a friend. You can also order dim sum from the bar if you are dining alone.They offer free dessert with a Yelp check-in.

Sooo good! First time here and loved it, came in for my birthday dinner and my friends ordered for the table cause they’ve been there before. Loved what they order and I’m definitely coming again!

Service & Fillings are Awesome! But shells are Too Gummy & Soup was Too Watered Down....No Flavor!

Food is fantastic!! Bring your appetite. Service is good. Waiters will try their best to accommodate your request. Only con that has made me change my mind of eating there is, when I'm looking for parking and I couldn't find one. Other than that, all else is good.

This is your Asian fusion dim sum spot located in downtown LA. Came here with some friends on a busy Saturday evening. This place was completely packed and the wait was almost 45 minutes. We ordered everything from the scallion pancake, chicken feet, spare ribs, fried shrimp and crab balls, xiao long bao, and some sake. The food was delicious and prepared really well. A lot of flavor in the dishes and the portions sizes are generous. They have an extensive cocktail and sake menu. Seating is perfect for small to large parties. My friends and I left stuffed and really pleased with our experience. Servers, hostesses and bartenders were great. Highly recommend this place if you want cocktails, late night dim sum or Asian fusion dishes in general. Street parking is really easy to find as well.

The shumai is good, but everything else is .... somewhat off. Skins are too thick and the flavor solid but unremarkable. Service was slow (especially for a dim sum place). If you have better options I wouldn’t recommend :)

Steamed Golden Lava Buns: Thankfully, the "lava" was flowing quite freely. I hate when these buns are made too far in advance so the inside is coagulated. The texture was just perfect! It was sweet, but not too sweet. One wish would be if they brought this out the end; they basically take your order card and bring out stuff in whatever order they feel like.Bao Dim Sum House

Best dimsum restaurant and excellent caktail bar

Among the dishes i tried, i would recommend the seafood noodles and shrimp dumplings. The staff are very friendly and i love the asian decor of the restaurant. There is a steamed fish dish however that i did not enjoy as much. The fish does not seem to be fresh.

Great Food! Great Service! Loud. ValetParking available. HARDLY ANY street parking. IF WALKING...At Night the homeless start setting tents 1 or 2 blocks away.

Being from New York I had thought for a long time that you can only get the best Chinese food there. However when I visited LA for my fortieth bday I craved some Chinese cuisine. Nap Dim Sun's food was just what I needed. The food was prepared in a timely manner, the foods appearance was appealing and its authenticity was to die for. My spouse and I were very pleased and Nap Dim Sum became my place to visit and dine when in LA.

Tons of great dumplings and other noodle and rice dishes. Also scallion pancakes were extremely tasty. I had the spicy tequila cocktail as well which was very good. Great service from server Adam.

The chicken meat hard like stone, cook beef strip like this? And a bun from supermarket? The waiter don’t even give a cup of water that I have asked for 40 minutes

We had a great lunch with good service. It was not the best food but it was good (and that is why I do not give a 5 Stars review) but it was nice. The food was fast and the service kind. Good to go for lunch.

We came here for dinner and managed to catch the tail of happy hour. We got the shrimp shumai, amongst other things from the happy hour menu. Everything was delicious both food and drink. And our server was attentive without being intrusive. We left at about 8pm and it was getting quite busy. Definitely recommend

I go with my wife to this nice place a lot! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I visit this place routinely. The meals are very good, the staff is professional and the price is good. I enjoy going in this place to have a decent dinner.

Service was great! The waitress always made sure that our water was always full and food came out fast. The waitresses were super nice.Great experience and have been back multiple times.

Service was fast and courteous, food was very well priced. There were hits and missed though. The spicy chicken dumpling and the spicy prawn were way too spicy without any warning. The tofu skin wrapped chicken tasted stale. The steamed fish was excellent, as was the pan fried chicken wonton. Good for large groups because the price is so good.

We ordered the reddish cake, seafood crispy fried noodles, and the shrimp and pork siu mai. Really like their reddish cake. It's cooked perfectly so you can get the crispy skin on the outside. There's nothing special for the other two dishes, but they do taste good. Overall, it's not bad, and the environment is really good, better than other dim sum places. But it's a little bit to pricy for what they offer for me. I recommend you come here during lunch time or happy hour for they offer better price.

Taste ready good. Ordered on postmates. 1st pic is the bao milk buns, 2nd crab meat rice with shrimp, 3rd picture is chicken and chives shumai(I ate 1), last picture is egg drop soup. All very good.

A solid restaurant. From design to service to price to food, everything was right where it needed to be. There’s also free valet parking so that’s pretty sweet. I think the menu is a little too extensive leading to the dishes just not reaching that stellar level. When it’s busy, it does get quite loud and the line can also get very daunting. RECOMMENDED

We were impressed by the modern, hip decor but dim sum was meh. Service was great, though.

NOT a traditional cart style dim sum spot but you'll definitely get your hankering fulfilled for some good ol dumplings. Chloe, our server was great. Definitely get on the Yelp waitlist to avoid a long line. Parking is valet or street so plan ahead if driving.

Last week was the first time we came to that excellent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the efficient service, with the fine meal and fine drinks and with the comfortable pay. We will surely go back there in a short time.

Nice interior, but doesn't have the feel of authenticity when you walk in. Regardless, it's all about the food right? I must say, I was actually very impressed with their portion sizes, and the taste was solid! The service is nice, and although the interior is fairly dark, give me a seat next to the window will make your experience that much better. I would have loved to come here during happy hour to totally get my money's worth!Of course, you can't compare this to an authentic Mom and Pop shop, but it certainly feels it's niche for those less adventurous. I'll see you during happy hour!

We last minutely decided to go have dim sum and I'm so glad we came here! We were able to sit down right away at the bar. The interior and atmosphere is nice and very red. The lighting makes everything feel like it's red.The food came out at a good time shortly we placed the order. You have to get the soup dumplings that come in a pair of 2. 4 small little soft soup filled dumplings that come in little tin things. Dip that in the vinegar and soy sauce to give it flavor and your going to love it.Please go and try this dim sum spot. It's so worth it.

Terrible service, waited over 20mins when there were visibly over 10 tables available. Staff were arrogant and food was very average. Would not recommend.

Had lunch there today by myself. It wasn't very busy. The server was friendly but had larger tables and I was forgotten about throughout most of my meal by the server. The food was great but getting the check took quite a bit of time. After waiting for it for close to 10 minutes, thankfully someone else finally brought it BUT I ended up getting a very expensive parking ticket!!!!! Not cool.

Had a wonderfully delicious dim sum brunch on the weekend. I was able to get a table for 2 fairly easily. Of all the dim sum, I think my favorite were the ones with pea shoots in them. Absolutely delicious and fresh tasting. The pea shoots in garlic were also amazing, my new favorite vegetable dish. Came out to a decent price too!Bao Dim Sum House

This might be one of the worst Chinese meals I've had. It's like notional Chinese food Not sure if the chefs are Cantonese but all of the Chinese staff that I came in contact with were mandarin speaking. What's the relevance? Dim Sum is a Cantonese style cuisine.Dumplings all over cooked and under flavored. Noodles too sauced. Service was friendly and fast but the food was just garbage. Two stars for good attitudes and none for quality of food.

Dim sum during dinner is just strange for me.The food here is tasty, and the quality is great for the "west side." The valet is right in front which makes it very convenient off either corner. We ordered literally half the menu and everything was great. I wish they had chili hot oil though. I'd be back for lunch probably, not dinner.

Yummy food. Try to get a reservation. Now for the owners. You lost out on a higher total. If the waiter would have asked if I wanted an other drink, I would have ordered a beer. But... He never checked in. But I would recommend.

This place was ok. The veggies was amazing but the dim sum was just not for me.

Service is great. Bar area to wait for the rest of your party. Food is good and fresh. Parking is on the street (metered parking) and valet. Prices a little expensive but worth it. Must try the Bao Milk Buns for dessert, so good!

Best food, very welcoming staff members, always good character. They charge reasonable rates and the food quality is excellent. Kudos.
